Microwave

When the American band Microwave debuted Stovall, frontman Nathan Hardy had just cut his ties with the Mormon church where he had grown up. His new view on life - and all experiences that came with it - were put into a record where he balanced out careful punk songs with softer emotional tracks.

On his second album Much Love from 2016 Hardy searches back to the meaning of life: “Much Love is about that search for meaning, though Microwave comes to the conclusion that perhaps nothing means anything.”

He released two singles back in 2018. A sign for a new record on the horizon? We sure hope so!

“Their new record sees them adopting more of their own flavor, pulling from influences like gritty Southern rock and noisy guitar acts like Ty Segall and Jay Reatard." - Stereogum
