VUURDOOP ON TOUR
Vuurdoop is spreading like wildfire. Starting March 13, PXL-Music is launching a series of promo concerts featuring current students and alumni with ties to the program.
The first show kicks off in Genk on March 13, where Suna and BoenkBoenk will set the C-Mine dancefloor on fire with pure rave energy.
On March 29, the tour crosses borders to Muziekgieterij, where three bands will create a unique atmosphere: dreamy, experimental, jazz fusion, groove-driven, cinematic, and sultry—Neptune Bloom, LũpḁGangGang, and Dull Boy Johnny.
On April 12, the final stop is in Trix, where Seaside Disk and Max Forage will bring their infectious energy to the stage.
The event is organized by second-year music management students at PXL-Music, giving them hands-on experience. With Vuurdoop on Tour, they aim to warm up audiences for the main festival, where graduating musicians showcase their artistic projects. The full lineup will be announced soon, featuring both new talent and PXL-Music alumni making their mark in the industry.
Vuurdoop takes place on April 30 from 4 PM at Bootstraat, Hasselt’s new creative hub. The festival is free, but until then, Vuurdoop on Tour offers a first glimpse at promising new talent. Because where there’s smoke, there’s Vuurdoop.
Seaside Disk
The Antwerp-based band Seaside Disk has been blowing audiences away since November 2022 with their energetic and versatile set. Inspired by rock classics, they create a powerful and unique sound. Frontman Victor leads the way with his strong vocals and sharp riffs, while drummer Kamil and bassist Gustaaf keep the groove tight and unstoppable. Solo guitarist Noah completes the picture with soaring guitar solos. In one sentence: "a wack of emotion."
Max Forage
Max Forage is the new project of Belgian artist Max Winters. Growing up and living in a rural environment surrounded by nature, this influence blends into Max Forage’s sound alongside modern musical elements. The distinctive yet dynamic style offers a fresh take on trip-hop with a (Belgian) pop sensibility. Intriguing vocal lines groove over breakbeats with hints of post-punk. The bass-heavy, rhythm-driven sound draws inspiration from Massive Attack, Young Fathers, Yves Tumor, Fever Ray, Dean Blunt, and Fontaines D.C.
