Use Knife
A powerful mix of raw synths, Arabic percussion, and politically charged energy. The trio Use Knife, featuring Iraqi vocalist Saif Al-Qaissy and Belgian musicians Kwinten Mordijck and Stef Heeren, fuses industrial and EBM textures with Iraqi rhythms. After their acclaimed debut 'The Shedding of Skin' (2022), they return in 2025 with 'État Coupable', mixed by Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Jerusalem in My Heart). Live, they create a hypnotic experience with visuals by Youniss Ahamad, challenging the boundaries between East and West. Their radio show Feeding The Gentry airs monthly on Radio Alhara. Use Knife sounds like a whirlwind: captivating, uncompromising, and boundary-pushing.
Wild Classical Music Ensemble
With an explosive mix of punk, flute, synths, and raw vocals, Wild Classical Music Ensemble (WCME) has been delivering a unique and energetic live experience since 2007. Known for their unpredictable shows and humorous chaos, the band has continuously pushed boundaries with albums like 'Tapping Is Clapping' and 'Tout va bien se passer'. They’ve collaborated with Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), and in 2024, they’ll release their new album 'Wild Classical Music Confined', followed by a tour that will even take them to La Réunion.
