Obituary is one of the most successful and influential bands in death metal history. The first Obituary album ‘Slowly we Rot’ (1989) is a classic in the genre. Goatwhore

Celebrating over 25 years of unrelenting chaos, Goatwhore stands as one of extreme metal’s most aggressive forces. Hailing from New Orleans, the band delivers a punishing fusion of black, death, thrash, and sludge metal with uncompromising intensity. Their 2022 album Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven is hailed as their most potent work yet—a raw, dark, and visceral journey that blends savage riffing with haunting atmospheres. Lyrically rich in esoteric themes, biblical allusions, and historical references, the album explores the human abyss with brutal honesty. Goatwhore’s ferocity on stage is matched by their commitment in the studio, where they worked with producers Jarrett Pritchard and Kurt Ballou to sharpen their apocalyptic sound. With each release, Goatwhore continues to evolve while staying true to the extreme roots that define their legacy.
