Due to popular demand the access to the Summer Bummer Virtual Rebound event originally planned from Saturday 23 until Wednesday 27 January 2021 is extended until February 14th 2021. Those who have an access code already can keep using it, those who haven’t got an acces code yet can register for free/gratis to obtain one.

The Begotten (Jürgen De Blonde, Brecht Ameel, Dirk Wachtelaer) and The Groovecats Deluxe (Simon Beeckaert, Elko Blijweert, Jeroen Stevens, Milan Warmoeskerken) each will present a brand new album, Grid Ravage (Yves De Mey, Louis Evrard, Gino Coomans) is heading straight from the Trix recording studio to the stage of De Studio, Joachim Badenhorst/Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė/Tsubasa Hori/Roman Hiele are joining forces only for the second time as a quartet and Timo Van Luijk/Manuel Mota/Margarida Garcia/Bart De Paepe are finally teaming up for a first live show after years of mutual admiration and respect. Guy Peters (Enola, Jazzlab) interviews the participating artists from a safe distance, about their artistic drive to think and work outside the box, even in these difficult times.

After stints at the Citadelic Festival and Jazz Middelheim 1.5, Sound in Motion continues to try and fill the gap created by the cancellation of the Summer Bummer Festival at the end of August 2020. This way Sound in Motion – supported by the Flemish Government and in collaboration with De Studio and Trix – is supporting, together with you, more than 20 artists and culture workers in these precarious times.
