Ruffskool is back after a memorable rave with FFF last spring. This time the bar is raised even higher announcing none less than 3 UK special guests.
/ Sheba Q wants you to know that Jungle is the mother of Grime and the sister of Hip-Hop when she steps up to the turntables. In 2021, she was nominated for DJ Mag's best Breakthrough DJ, which is testimony to her passion for the craft and the eclectic selection she draws for, showcasing the true versatility the music has to offer. Sheba Q has come a long way in the past four years, having sung on, co-produced and released multiple tracks with No Nation, Coco Bryce, Double O and a collaboration with Tim Reaper on Future Retro. Notable performances include HÖR Berlin, Keep Hush, Boiler Room, Rupture and many more.
/ Equinox aka Marlon Sterling. The professor. The beat scientist. He was there when Hardcore and Jungle was born. Bizzy B + Equinox – The Brain Crew E.P (1993). Brought up on a diet of dub, 80s soul, jazz, funk, Detroit techno and much more, these influences still shine through in his DJ sets which are always unique, razor sharp and highly energetic. Equinox has been the head honcho of the highly respected Scientific Wax label. As a producer, he has released on the legendary Planet Mu, and many others.
/ DJ Trax is Ruffskool's UK resident and will no doubt blow all dancers away again with a perfect blend of ruff beats, euphoria and B-Boy attitude. DJ Trax was already releasing Hardcore and Jungle tunes on Moving Shadow in the early 90s and is still at the forefront after a long career as both a producer and DJ. Testimony to that are recent releases on the leading label Over/Shadow records to name just one, and DJ sets at the biggest raves across the UK and abroad.
Welcome back!
“Ruffskool is a sound, an attitude, a vibe… adventurous, high octane, dance music… the ruff with the smooth.”
