Of course, much of what makes Pigs x7 (the more economical styling) work is the relentless quality of their very distinctive brand of metal, or whatever you want to call the crushingly heavy noise rock Matt Baty and his cohorts come up with. In the great tradition of British eccentrics taking an established sound and twisting and contorting it until it becomes unrecognisable and completely their own, Pigs x7 has to be the most un-doom-y doom band at Desertfest.
