BWANA is the indie-pop/rock, alternative and boundless music project of Friedel Dufait. She immediately had impact with her low melancholic guitar lines that are accompanied by a recognizable, powerful and low singing voice. It already brought her to the selection for Humo's Rock Rally 2022, finalist of Sound Track 2021-2022 and she also emerged as one of the winners of De Nieuwe Lichting by Studio Brussels 2024. Inspiration comes from indie heroes such as The Haunted Youth, girl in red and PJ Harvey.
