Julie’s journey began in the late 2010s, when high school friends Lee and Pourzand, later joined by Elizabeth, formed the band with a simple goal: play one show. Their sound, born out of teenage discovery, evolved into a raw, experimental force that blends shoegaze with grunge, as heard on their debut album 'my anti-aircraft friend'. With emotionally charged tracks like “clairbourne practice” and “very little effort,” julie creates an intense, cathartic experience, pushing boundaries both musically and artistically.
