In June 2023, Karen received the shocking diagnosis of appendix cancer, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that struck her unexpectedly. Despite the enormous challenges posed by this disease - the metastases, the unknown nature of the disease and the lack of proven treatments - Karen did not lose her fighting spirit. She has decided not to give up, but to persevere with determination in the hope of recovery, despite the uncertainty of the future.

The disease Karen is struggling with is one of the most difficult and elusive form of cancer. Appendix cancer accounts for less than 0.5% of all cancers worldwide, and treatments are still in the early stages. Therefore, it is crucial that we support her so that she can receive the best possible care and continue to fight.

This benefit concert is a way for us to come together and not only support her in her fight, but also raise awareness for this rare form of cancer. Tonight's proceeds will go directly to Karen's medical expenses, treatments and recovery. In addition, we want to show her that she is not alone in her fight - we stand behind her together, as a community, as friends and as family.

Let's use this evening to express the power of music, love and solidarity, and give Karen the support she so desperately needs during this difficult time.
