Counterparts
It's been since 2018 that Canadian Counterparts were at Trix. This year, they come to present their latest full-length album "A Eulogy for Those Still Here" at the Trix Club! With this album, Counterparts tries to capture the surreal space-in-between, and in the process they pushed their sound to the limit
to make their most definitive statement as a band.
The band manages to lay down a perfect blend of cutting metalcore and melodic hardcore. They have previously toured with Architects and performed at Graspop and Groezrock. Expect rock-hard riffs, emotional screams and a lot of rage.
Kublai Khan TX
Struggle spurs strength. Trials and tribulations mold and fortify character. Embodying these truths, Kublai Khan TX turn hardships into hypnotic and heavy metalcore upheld by nimble metallic fury and pit-splitting spiriton their fourth full-lengthoffering, Absolute.
Dying Wish
DYING WISH is the unrelenting and unforgiving sound of struggle, an extreme metallic hardcore band infused with a punk spirit. The blistering hardcore band’s passionate music fuses the New Wave of American Heavy Metal with chaotic punk dissonance. The diverse group forged a musical and activist identity in the DIY scene. Even as they’ve graduated to bigger tours with more prominent metalcore bands, they continue to uphold those ethics, espousing the values of equality, justice, and self-determination.
Paleface Swiss
With their 2020 release 'Chapter 3: The Last Selection' independent band Paleface Swiss has achieved international recognition within the deathcore and beatdown community. Since then, they have become known worldwide for their aggressive riffs, unusually fast drums, heavy bass and always that touch of humor.
With 'Fear & Dagger', released in 2022, they cheerfully go one step further. Metal Injection about this release: "The band seems self-aware about their outrageous sound. Taken on those terms, Fear & Dagger is a wild ride of total pandemonium. Stop pretending to be cultured, and get down with the beatdown." Curious what the next steps will be, but the new tracks on their Bandcamp page already suggest the best.
