Congress was formed in the cold winter of 1993, during a period of low underground musical activity in Belgium. Four individuals with diverse musical backgrounds came together to create a global force. Their first 7", 'Euridium', made a significant impact, and with the release of their debut album 'Blackened Persistence' in 1995, their success grew even larger. Tours and festivals followed, and the scene (H8000) flourished. Throughout the 90s, the band continued to release legendary albums ('The Other Cheek' in 1996 and 'Angry with the Sun' in 1998), maintaining their top position in the European metal/hardcore scene. Unfortunately, the band disbanded at the beginning of the new millennium, and in 2006, they ceased activity. However, the legacy of Congress lives on, and after several reunion attempts in 2012, the band is now ready to embark on a club tour to commemorate the glory days of the 90s. Finally, the silence is broken, Anger and distortion forever!
