SOUND TRACK 2025: Register now!

Sound Track is back. VI.BE and the entire live sector are looking for new music talent from Flanders and Brussels for the fourth time. No tough competition, but a fertile breeding ground: 144 selected artists will be given opportunities to perform, feedback and exposure and have a chance at a unique, tailor-made growth path. In the past, Sound Track has repeatedly proven its role as a stepping stone for artists with ambition - from the bedroom to a Best Kept Secret stage.

From solo to duo, quintet, hip hop, afrobeat, r&b, (heavy) metal, indie rock, traditional music, folk, ambient, electronica, jazz, punk and more, at Sound Track anything goes. As long as it's live.

The club juries will select from all entries which artists will be allowed to play live in the spotlight during the regional preliminary rounds. And they don't do it alone: this year too, 8 ambassadors are ready to advise on who they think has the sound of tomorrow based on their expertise: Willem Ardui & Jean Atohoun (blackwave.), Emma Bale, Nabou Claerhout, Aili Maruyama & Orson Wouters (Aili), Thomas Michiels (Psychonaut) and Florian De Schepper (Broes, Flo,...) and former laureates Catherine Smet (BLUAI) and Sietse Willems (Metheads).

Follow in the footsteps of Lézard, Ão, ISE or Porcelain id? It's possible, if you register now for Sound Track!

Those who are selected via the VI.BE platform can then prove themselves during the live rounds. In other words: 22 selection evenings, spread across music clubs and youth centres in Antwerp, Brussels, Limburg, Flemish Brabant and East and West Flanders. Of the 144 artists who progress to the selection phase, 48 will secure a spot in the regional finals. Three laureates will eventually emerge from each regional final. The countdown will start on 21 December to find out which 18 artists will be able to call themselves the sound of tomorrow this edition.

A journey of tailor-made growth opportunities will then begin for them, lasting over a year. From residencies to (inter)national performance opportunities, PA rehearsals, coaching, masterclasses, personal advice, studio recordings and much more. In addition, they can also count on exposure from many players from the broad Flemish and Brussels media: Studio Brussel, Knack, Dansende Beren and Luminous Dash. Partner Lotto will award an audience award and Sabam and PlayRight will also support the project.
