Antwerp youth sector joins forces in the Week against Racism

Sunday March 21 marks the Day against Racism. That day there will be symbolic actions in Antwerp at the Groenplaats, Moorkensplein and Kielpark. The Antwerp youth work sector, including Trix and our inhabitants at Moving Ground, will also be present on one of the squares at that time with flags designed by the kids and youngsters of their organization. They will empower the voices of our youth.

In the week before this symbolic action, the many organizations from the Antwerp youth sector planned a wide range of activities. This way, we send a united signal that racism and discrimination have no place in our society and in our own organizations. The activities are bundled under the hashtag #jeugdtegenracisme and on jeugdtegenracisme.wordpress.com.

"Racism makes wounds and traumas that we are still too often blind to today. Many of our young people can have a say about this, we especially want to let them have their say. They need to be listened to more."
