Awareness crew
Trix is the music centre of Antwerp.
Trix wants to be a vibrant open house where everyone feels safe, welcome, free and comfortable, where no one is discriminated against and where tolerance and mutual respect are central. We strive to be a place where everyone can be and discover themselves, without fear of judgement or feeling unsafe, with respect for the space, each other and each other's space.
At Trix we attach great importance to caring for all our visitors. We try to create a place that is free of discrimination, intimidation or violence on the one hand, and where everyone is free to be and discover themselves on the other.
We are therefore looking for volunteers with a heart for music and our audience to strengthen our awareness team.
What do you do as a member of the Awareness Team?
You are the point of contact during events. You are always there for our visitors. You answer their questions and help them if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
You are also equipped with a sharp pair of eyes. You constantly scan the audience and check whether everyone is (feeling) okay. You are also aware of the house rules and address people when they do not follow them.
Of course, you do not do this alone, but primarily together with the rest of the awareness team, our crew, the production manager and security.
Who are you?
- You have a heart for music, nightlife, concerts and their crowd
- You have an open view of society and treat everyone equally
- You have a pair of sharp eyes

Training and guidance
Before you start working, you will receive a training from Safe & Sound and extensive information: what do we stand for? What are the rules? And how do you react?
Regular training will also follow afterwards.
What do you get in return?
You can go to all of our concerts for free. You contribute to a safer Trix. You will receive regular training. You become part of our community. You will receive a financial compensation.
